Holy Days
The people of St. Michael's love to celebrate the holy days of the year, whether Christmas, or Holy Week, or Easter, or the festivals of Hispanic New Mexico. At Christmas, the church is decorated with hundreds of luminarias, and for Día de los Muertos (the Day of the Dead), an altar commemorating the departed adorns the front of the church.
Among the holy days important to the American Southwest that are celebrated at St. Michael's are the Feast of San Francisco, the Dia de los Muertos, Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Christmas drama of Las Posadas, the Good Friday Pilgrimage to Chimayó, and the springtime Feast of San Ysidro.

Altar Guild |
Eucharistic Bread Ministry |
Altar Guild, while a very quiet ministry, is one of the most important ministries in any parish. We set up for and clean up after all services including weddings and funerals. We see to supplying wine and candles and provide support for visiting clergy. Twice a year — before Christmas and Easter — we clean and polish the silver and all the woodwork in the church. New members are always welcome:. we offer training and will happily answer any questions!

Our ministry provides St. Michael and All Angels with about three hundred loaves of bread annually, to be used at every celebration of Communion. We meet one day a month and it takes three to four hours to bake and package the loaves to be frozen until ready for delivery. Deliveries are rotated between all members, and are done weekly. All of the supplies are donated by the members as gifts to the parish.
