St.Michael's Virtual Choir

For our first celebration of Michaelmas since the pandemic, the musicians of St. Michael & All Angels came together to sing Mark A. Miller's great song of welcome and inclusion,
Draw the Circle Wide.
Enjoy!

Ensemble@9:
Acoustic music Sundays at 9:00

Picture
At 9:00 am on Sundays, we sing as a corporate expression of our faith and as a way to enter into being a worshipful community. The "Loose@9" ensemble includes a dedicated cadre of voices (our primary instrument) supported by additional instruments that are plucked, picked, bowed, shaken, blown or tapped. Our mission is to support our singing congregation and its enjoyment of musical worship. A sanctuary of heartily singing people is a pleasure to serve!

Our sound is a mix of traditional, folk & celtic flavors. Participa-tion in Loose@9 reflects a call to ministry and commitment to 3-4 hours a week, with the Thursday evening rehearsal at 7:00 pm, some individual preparation, and the Sunday morning service. It  is a joyful opportunity to work and play together. Talk to one of us if you’re interested, or for more information, connect with director Ken Gilman, 980-1865,

St. Michael's Choir:
Sacred choral music Sundays at 11:15

Picture
The choir for the 11:15 a.m. service sings a diverse variety of music, including works representative of the great composers of the baroque, classical, romantic, and modern eras, as well as works written by our own resident composer, David McGuire. We also sing multicultural music, gospel music, and music in contemporary Christian idioms.

Our choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:45 pm, and we meet on Sunday mornings at 10:30 to prepare for the worship service.

If you are interested in joining us to sing or simply wish to get more information about our ensemble, please contact David McGuire.
