Photographs of the Stained Glass Windows
The windows at St. Michael's were created in 1957 by John Tatschl, an Austrian émigré and professor of art at the University of New Mexico, for the original church building (now the parish hall). They were later moved to the new church building, and the nine images cumulatively tell the story of the life of Christ, with an additional image of St. Michael the Archangel in the Columbarium Chapel.
St. Michael's members Bill & Elsa d'Ellis have done a stunning job of photographing these windows and crafting their photographs into beautiful gifts that can be enjoyed by everyone. The images are available to be purchased in two different sizes of albums (which include all of the windows, plus details taken from them); in note cards; and in various sizes of matted and/or framed prints.
