Pastoral Care by the Clergy
Pastoral care is offered to any person in need. Appointments with the clergy can be made by contacting the office. When someone is in the hospital, they or their families are invited to inform the parish office so that a clergy or lay pastoral visit can be arranged. When someone anticipates surgery, they may be anointed beforehand, asking for God’s healing grace.

BAPTISMS, WEDDINGS, AND FUNERALS
The clergy are available to consult with individuals and families about life events such as baptisms, weddings, and funerals. Please contact the church office to schedule an appointment.
Baptism is incorporation into Christ's Body, the Church, and so implies making a long-term commitment to be a part of the life of this parish as one lives out the vows that are made in Baptism to follow Jesus, seeking to serve him in all persons. Persons interested in baptism are invited, if they are not already, to join the parish as an active member and participant.
Similarly, to be married in the Church is to seek the blessing and support of the community, and so it is based on a relationship of belonging to and participation in the parish. Couples considering marriage at St. Michael's are asked, if they do not already, to join regularly in worship, to enter into a period of counseling and discernment with a priest, and to consider becoming a member, including making a financial pledge in support of the church's mission. St. Michael's welcomes all couples, regardless of sexual orientation, to consider being married at the parish.
The clergy are available to assist and individuals or families who have lost a loved one, and the parish willingly hosts funerals or memorial services for anyone who seeks its support. The parish has a columbarium (for the interment of ashes) in a chapel adjacent to the church: additional information is available from the Parish Administrator.
