2 Corinthians 2:14-16
Creator God, you give us a spirit of thankfulness, grace, and love. You are in ultimate control! Nothing is artificial about you. We your children feel hurt and pain. As we are confident in you, Lord, who permits the pain to come; we are also confident that you will help us to use it to bring a highly desirable end. We can be thankful of that in the midst of perplexity and in sorrow. You are always leading us in triumph! Not sometimes, not occasionally, but always. Even the opposition we encounter is made to serve the purpose of victory. May we live our lives as a fragrance, a perfume, a pleasing bouquet - not only to other people but to you the living God. May we be that fragrance that helps people become better not bitter. To grow closer to you just like Jesus.
When people came in contact with him they never went away the same. We can be a lingering fragrance to the Holy Trinity no matter what. A fragrance of death to death or of life to life.
